My Bio
Hello there! Welcome to my humble Deviant page. To try to know me is like holding hands with the wind.If any of you have ever tried, you know exactly what I mean. This, however does not mean it is difficult to understand and know what I do to express the Ghost inside this Machine of mine. I am a writer, first and foremost. Thoughts and ideas, stories and songs. This is my right arm, my sword and strength, and it swathes through the void, and creates like a massive wave in the middle of a calm ocean.

I dabble in visual art. Pencil and color, ink and marker. The images express many things to me personally, and I would be happy to share and be open about myself, should enough people request I do so. This is my left arm. My shield and defence. It holds the darkness at bay in the ever churning onslaught or roiling shadows.

I enjoy reading many things, from Stephen King and Joe Hill, to Patrick Rothfuss and Tolkien. Horror and supernatural concepts, fantasy and magic. I've even been known to crack open a Bible, or the Dhammapada and Bagavad Gita. I've studied every color of Magick, and even have found my own path in it. I ultimately believe that it is the soul purpose of Words to serve as a way for us to learn about Life, Love, Sorrow, Temptation, etc. What do you want to know? Just pay attention and see what words, lyrics, images, or characters jump out and relate to you. Take everything out of context, and apply it to.yourself, and see how you will evolve.

Having said all that... I am not better than any man or woman. But I will never consider myself a lesser. Treat all as Equals, and watch your neighbor's hearts change.

I hope you enjoy the art I will be sharing with you all on this site. Maybe you can learn something? Or relate to something? I accept all compliments and criticisms the same. I embrace the opportunity to evolve, and make change for the betterment of myself, the ones I love, and the entirety of all humanity.

Welcome to the RAge of Aquarius!

Meant to post this yesterday, but I wanted to make sure it was exactly what I wanted to say. There is a lot, so if you don't have the time or desire to read it all, there is a TL,DR(Too Long, Didn't Read) summary towards the bottom. So, with that being said, here we go; 01/08/2015 Day 13 no cigarettes. After 10 days, everything tastes so much better and different. They say it takes 21-30 days to make a habit. Smoking only takes a single time to hook you. Like any addiction, after that first 'high', we will chase that feeling until the day we die. In the (nearly) 6 years that I've been a smoker, at my worst, I smoked three to four and a half

happy birthday, my friend.
Thank you so very much for your watch
You are so nice to me
Certainly! =) Consider following me in return? Thank you for the Llama. ;)
Welcome to dA, and thanks for watching me! :huggle: Let me know if you have any questions! :eager:
Thank you. =) I'm wondering how to use this site to it's highest potential for spreading the word about my art and writing. Any tips would be most welcome.
Well, the most important thing to remember is that it's a social network with an art focus. So the more you interact with people, the more people will interact with you. :) Joining groups where you can submit your work, commenting and favouriting other people's work, and using the forums or chat network are all great ways to get exposure.

Here's a great article for people getting started on dA. It focuses on the literature community, but a lot of it is relevant for visual art as well. You can also search the Journal portal for words like 'exposure' and find a lot of good articles.

Tips: How to get started with the lit community!Hello everyone! My name is Ricky Alaniz otherwise known as chromeantennae and today, I wanna give you guys a little guide on how I really got started here. How I got my name out there a little bit more and really got the courage to do more around these parts.
First off, understand that 99% of the literature community here on deviantART will give you just as much in return as you give back to it. It's a natural, human thing. But if you don't give back, you won't receive. That's always the number one thing to remember, but also that we're all here to support each other. Even the most popular of deviants started right where you are. Yes, even the Senior Members and lit CVs were newbies here on this site at one point too. And I know some people are intimidated by Senior Members and literature CVs but these folks are the LAST people to be intimidated by! They're in these positions for the exact opposite reasons-- they're not evil-doers or big bad monsters ready to reject whatever you sugge
